S058 Army Shorts - Telo Mimetico
Celebrating Informale’s 4th Anniversary we introduce the S058 Army Shorts in a Limited Edition Italian Army “Telo Mimetico,” or Camouflage Cloth. Originally introduced in 1929 and discontinued in the early 1990’s, it has the distinction of not only being the first camouflage pattern made for general Military use but also being the longest continuous camouflage ever used. Our particular version is a 1930’s-50’s replica printed on 100% Cotton Back Satin woven in Japan. This release is limited to 45 numbered pieces, and will not be reproduced.
The S058 Army Shorts are referenced from a vintage pair from our archive. They were made in the U.S. and dated 1958. Staying true to that original design we’ve kept the same vintage military character and cut, choosing only to make some small refinements to bring them into the 21st Century. The fabric is a replica U.S. Military Sateen from the same era, woven in Japan.
The S058 Army Shorts are cut roomy with a mid-high rise which means they can be worn either casually or dressed up.
